Position Summary

BIS is hiring a Creative WordPress Designer & Systems Builder who has a strong visual design eye, masters Elementor, and is obsessed with creating repeatable systems, templates, and AI-powered workflows that let us deliver high-quality websites faster every single time.

We build high-performing websites for local government agencies nationwide. This is a design-first role — not a traditional developer or custom-coding position. We need someone who loves making beautiful, purposeful websites and then turning that work into scalable systems so the next project is even smoother.

If you get excited about designing stunning sites in Elementor while building templates, prompts, and automations that dramatically improve speed and consistency, this is the role for you.

We are looking for a creative WordPress expert who can design, build, launch, and systematize beautiful websites. You will own projects end-to-end, create visually compelling designs that drive real results, and constantly improve our delivery process using AI and smart systems.

Key Responsibilities

Design and build visually strong, high-converting WordPress websites using Elementor
Create modern, responsive designs with excellent creative judgment
Translate client needs into beautiful, user-friendly experiences
Build and maintain design systems, templates, and repeatable components
Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, etc.) daily to accelerate design, content, and workflows
Continuously create new automations and processes to scale website delivery
Optimize for speed, usability, engagement, and conversions
Handle updates, maintenance, and troubleshooting while protecting design quality
Collaborate with internal teams and improve SOPs for faster delivery
Ensure ADA/WCAG 2.1 AA compliance

Qualifications & Skills

Required:

- 5+ years designing and building WordPress websites with a strong creative portfolio
- Expert-level mastery of Elementor (this is critical)
- Strong visual design sense and understanding of UX/conversion principles
- Solid technical skills: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WordPress optimization
- Experience building scalable systems, templates, or repeatable workflows
- Basic SEO and Google Analytics knowledge
- Quick learner on ADA/WCAG compliance
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects with high quality and speed
