IT Technician III

Job Summary: 

  • As a Support Technician III at BIS, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and troubleshooting our clients’ technology infrastructure. You will work closely with our team to deliver technical support, guidance, and solutions to our clients, embodying our core values of servitude, community, fearlessness, grit, humility, and continuous improvement – the BIS Way

Responsibilities: 

  • Support and filter help desk tickets to provide workstation, network, and server support.
  • Provide onsite support for larger projects such as server installs (this including being able to migrate, data, network shares, Microsoft Active Directory Roles…etc) , network cabling, workstation setup, and software migration.
  • Provide network infrastructure troubleshooting.
  • Maintain BIS Internal Infrastructure.
  • COLO and BIS Office
  • May be assigned to higher priority clients for full-time oversight and escalation.
  • Assist in monitoring all client and internal:
  • network backups
  • client email administration
  • patching and server maintenance and configuration
  • Provide after-hours and on-call support for issues and projects.
  • Leading the technical aspect of our IT team by providing support and excellent customer service.
  • Maintain a 95% or better customer rating (provided from ticket feedback).
  • Work through any technical issues ensuring a volume of tickets in-line with peers.
  • Work with peers professionally with a kind and constructive demeanor.
  • Be available to travel up to 50%.
  • Provide support for the IT manager.
  • Lead BIS by taking on technical projects from the IT Project backlog.
  • Assist in documenting processes.
  • Assist in developing and training the IT team.
  • Ability to insert witty Memes and GIFS in internal conversations.



Education and Experience Required:

  • College degree preferred; high school diploma required
  • 8 years of systems experience and infrastructure support
  • Technical Certifications in OS and networking like Microsoft, VMWare, Cloud Technologies, and Linux are a plus, but not required
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis, pass a background check, and maintain a clean driving record.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 per year
