Crystal lives and works from her home in Kountze, Texas, northwest of Beaumont. She started at BIS on March 14, 2022 and has had a busy start training for her Customer Service Product Specialist position.
Crystal started working for Hardin County in 2012 as Receptionist, then studied appraisal. In 2016, she was promoted to Chief Appraiser for Hardin County and held that role until January of 2022. She brings hands-on experience with CADs, and a deep understanding of small county budget constraints.

She met BIS at a conference in 2016, and says, “Anybody who meets BIS knows they have excellent technical support.” Hardin County initially hired BIS for their technical support, then grew their services each year to include online forms and websites. “BIS opened our eyes to new technology, even low cost technology. They helped our county transition from being a paper-based office to a CAD that had tablets in the field. I had complete confidence that if I needed something, BIS was there.”
Reporting to Mele Langlois, and working directly with the products team, this Customer Service Product Specialist role will answer questions for existing customers. If a CAD needs help maneuvering in their website, adding a product for taxpayers, or needed technical support with online forms, Crystal will fix it or send it on to the Development team. Crystal looks forward to sharing her BIS experience with other CADs.
