Tony has been messing with computers since the age of 8 when he received a Commodore 64. Thirty years later, he is still in love with the tech world.
After traveling across the US for 13 years with Chase Bank, Tony found his way to BIS. For the past three years, he has been a road warrior fixing client’s technical needs. Tony can install a server, correct a WiFi issue, build a firewall, and put email on client’s phones in a single visit. Though Tony’s favorite part of BIS is the travel, he appreciates the ability to be home on the weekends. Tony says, “I love my customers. They give me hugs when I show up at their office.” When he is not rescuing clients from their tech troubles, you’ll find him smoking meat in the backyard or boiling Alaskan King Crab legs for his family.
Perfect day: Playing Call of Duty with friends on the XBox along with beer and BBQ.
First Concert: 2 Live Crew.
First Job: Grocery store bag boy in Fort Bliss, Texas
Favorite food: Cheese enchiladas with beans and rice.

Marissa Van Eman
Newlywed. Margarita Freak. Deed Analyst.
Marissa was a Human Geography major at the University of Texas at Austin when she interned with The General Land Office. During a conference, she had lunch with a BIS employee and was intentional to get to know them. Marissa came to BIS as a contractor after graduation and started full-time with BIS in 2020. Her first project was populating new subdivisions in Travis County and inputting them into ArcMap. She continues her work and document processes for Travis County in her role today.
Marissa is originally from Houston, and recently moved back there. Her favorite part of working at BIS is the ability to learn and bounce ideas off of each other. Marissa feels, “grateful for this awesome job and grateful for the opportunity to work remotely.” She is thankful for everything that has happened this year, and for everyone around her.
Fun fact: Marissa got married in the middle of the pandemic in an outdoor ceremony in October 2020.
Perfect day: Hiking with her husband and dachshund Tyrion followed by a Baby Acapulco’s purple margarita.
